About Me
I am a registered psychologist specializing in treating anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. I completed my Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree through Yorkville University. My approach to therapy includes collaborating with you to create achievable goals. You are the expert in your own life and my job is to support you to improve your mental wellbeing through non-judgemental listening and validation. I use a variety of evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) to help you challenge negative thought patterns, change behaviour patterns, improve relationships with others, and heal from events of the past. My main focus is to create a strong therapeutic alliance that allows you to feel safe exploring new behaviours and old traumas.
I have worked in a variety of clinical settings and have learned from the experiences of every client I have encountered. I have experience running skills-focused groups for treatment of anxiety, depression, and trauma. I have worked with a variety of ages and am currently accepting clients 18 years and older.
